  • America 250th Celebratory Hike

    Celebrate our nation’s 250th anniversary by joining us for a scenic hike at Rocky Fork. Along our hike we explore summer flowers, cove forest, mountain geology, a 1780’s battle site and scenic cascades. This will be a moderate hike along Rocky Fork and Flint Creek Trails totaling around three miles. Sign up at the Park Website to reserve your spot!

    This event will be held on the first sunday of every month, with the goal of keeping Rocky Fork's trails and creeks free of litter. Meet Park Ranger Cory Franklin at the Park Ranger Station (280 Jennie Moore Rd.). From there we will go to our cleanup location. Rocky Fork has the cleanest water of any tributary in the Nolichucky River Watershed. With 2,000 acres of park land surrounded by 8,000 acres of National Forest. We aim to keep Rocky Fork pristine and would love to have your help! Gloves and trash bags will be provided but feel free to bring your own supplies. All ages welcome!
