Saturday, May 10th | 8:00 AM – 12:30 PM 200 Jennie Moore Rd., Flag Pond, TN This year, we’re proud to host the 2nd Annual Trout Madness Youth Fishing Tournament at Rocky Fork State Park, relocated from David Crockett Birthplace due to flood recovery efforts following Hurricane Helene. This free event is open to anglers ages 6–16 (16-year-olds must bring a valid TN fishing license and trout stamp). Along our hike we will see Whitehouse Cliffs, cove forest, the aftermath of tropical storm Helene and of course distant mountain peaks including two states, two national forests, the Appalachian Trail and so much more.This hike is 2 miles round trip, and it is considered Strenuous.     This event will be held on the first sunday of every month, with the goal of keeping Rocky Fork's trails and creeks free of litter. Meet Park Ranger Cory Franklin at the Park Ranger Station (280 Jennie Moore Rd.). From there we will go to our cleanup location. Rocky Fork has the cleanest water of any tributary in the Nolichucky River Watershed. With 2,000 acres of park land surrounded by 8,000 acres of National Forest. We aim to keep Rocky Fork pristine and would love to have your help! Gloves and trash bags will be provided but feel free to bring your own supplies. All ages welcome!
