    Senior Softball World Series: The ISSA Senior Softball World Series comes to Johnson City September 9–13, 2026, bringing senior athletes from across the country to compete in one of the nation's premier softball tournaments. Games will be played at Winged Deer Park, showcasing exciting competition across multiple age and skill divisions while welcoming players, families, and fans to the area. Admission is free!

    The Iron Mountains Invitational returns to Winged Deer Park in Johnson City on September 12, 2026, bringing together hundreds of student runners from more than 60 elementary, middle, and high schools. Hosted by Visit Johnson City in partnership with meet director David Nutter, this annual cross country event is free and open to the public, making it a great opportunity to cheer on both local and visiting athletes.

    Join the White Lotus crew on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays each month for the best Tea in Johnson City, some heartfelt community, and some relaxing yet invigorating movement arts to top it all off. We will meet at the Philosopher's House for a tea of your choice, then head out to the park (weather permitting) for Yang 24 (Beijing Style) Tai Chi. Our warmup will include some Qigong and exercises influenced by martial arts style like Bajiquan and Baguazhang. How to register: Drop-in, no registration needed.     Are you ready to carve pumpkins for Halloween? What about carving them underwater? We are excited to bring back our pumpkin carving contest for the month of October! You read that right. This year’s pumpkin carving contest will start October 1st and will conclude during our Halloween Night Dive Party on October 31st. Here is how it works: 1. Anytime during the month of October take a pumpkin to Gray Quarry and carve it while diving. Make sure to take pictures or video evidence that the pumpkin was carved while underwater.
