Join us for a special after-hours hike into the heart of Rocky Fork. This 3-mile round-trip trek will lead us to the historic battle site, where the absence of moonlight creates a window into the galactic lightshow above. Along the way, we’ll explore the hidden world of nocturnal wildlife from owls calling through the forest to salamanders thriving in the cool night air, and perhaps even the flicker of the year’s last fireflies. A blacklight demonstration may reveal fluorescent surprises hidden in the forest. At the battle site, we’ll settle in beneath the stars for spectacular dark sky viewing.
