    Johnson City will welcome youth football teams from various states when the 5th Annual Spring National Championship 2026 takes place June 26-28. Organized by 5 Star Nation, the tournament is expected to attract upwards of 30-40 competitive youth football programs along with their coaches and families for a weekend of championship-level competition. The event is part of a growing network of regional and national youth football tournaments that draw participants from across the Southeast and beyond. The three-day championship will feature teams competing for national recognition while providing young athletes an opportunity to showcase their skills in a highly competitive environment.

    Your Library will host a Scholastic Book Fair in the Jones Meeting Center on Wednesday-Friday, August 5-7 from 3-6 p.m., and Saturday, August 8 from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. This event is open to the public, so all families are invited to shop for new books, colorful school supplies, decorative posters, and more. Plus, kids can spend the Scholastic book bucks they earned during Summer Reading! Scholastic book bucks are sponsored by Friends of the Johnson City Public Library. All proceeds from the book fair will be used toward future children's programs and services.

This event will also celebrate the parallel exhibition, Mosaic Mountain, an exhibition formed during a five-day art camp with middle and high school students. Renfrow was this year's featured artist, leading campers through their creations and inspiring them with her own artistry.
