For the first time in 2024, come along to the Down Home to read your work and listen to some fine local wordsmiths. * Sign up sheet opens at 6:35 and the readings begin at 7 sharp. Our reading lists have been filling up quickly, so please arrive early to get on the list. It is first come, first serve. We will have two rounds of about ten readers per round, so eighteen readers total. We are trying to be better with time management, so please note that each poet gets up to 4 minutes. Pete Ward + the ETSU Global String Band

Pete Ward is a musician and professor of practical theology at Durham University. His research has focused on religion and bluegrass, and he performs bluegrass, old-time, and English folk musics. The ETSU Global String Band is led by Dr. Lee Bidgood, and uses performance to learn about string music traditions from around the world.
