Along our hike we will pass by mature cove forest, an old logging pond, mountain streams, Flint Field, and a hidden waterfall. Take a leisurely stroll with botanist Dr. Steven Price and learn how to identify trees species in the winter as well as winter/early spring plants that are just starting to emerge. Dr. Price will also touch on the history, geology, and ecology of the area. Persimmon Ridge Park is Jonesborough’s flagship green space featuring over 130 acres of hiking trails.
