    Festival Highlights Include: Parade: Starting at 11:00 AM, the parade will travel from Carver Recreation Center to King Commons Park. The parade will feature over 25 classic cars and motorcycles, dance groups, local sports teams, and Grand Marshal Adam Dickson, Vice Mayor of Jonesborough, and Supervisor of the Langston Centre Opening Ceremony: The festival will kick off around noon with the calling of the drums and welcoming words from board members. Inspired by the Hobbits’ Shire and the rich culture of Appalachia, this free all-ages celebration offers something for everyone. This year's event will feature an impressive collection of military vehicles, including tanks, half-tracks, armored personnel carriers, trucks, jeeps, motorcycles, and more—all of which visitors will see in action.
