Join the TN State Park Rangers on an adventurous hike to the top of Chigger Ridge. From here, we will be in one of the only known spots to view Buckeye Falls in its entirety. Buckeye Falls, in Unicoi Co, is one of the largest waterfalls ( in the top 3) east of the Rockies, measuring anywhere from 700-900 ft. The Round Trip is roughly 10 miles. Some hiking is off-trail on steep hillsides. Please bring enough food, water, rain/cold weather gear, and stout footwear to allow you to explore the backcountry of Rocky Fork safely and comfortably. Off Trail Adventure Series – Tim’s Falls

RSVP Required - Join a Ranger to explore off-trail at Rocky Fork. This 4.5 mile hike will follow along Rocky Fork Trail and Flint Creek Trail to the back 40 of Rocky Fork State Park. We will then go off trail, traveling up another creek draining off Flint Mountain forming Tim's Falls. Dont miss out on this excellent chance to see this beautiful part of the park that is usually closed to the public due to limited accessibility. YOU WILL GET WET. Be prepared to walk in and around a creek for roughly half mile off trail. Please dress appropriately and bring water. In the event of inclement weather the program will be rescheduled.
