    Mitch Capel, who often performs as “Gran’daddy Junebug,” is a seasoned storyteller, recording artist, published author, and poet. Mitch first began writing and performing skits at the age of 12, and has delighted audiences throughout the U.S. with his warmth, wit, and compelling storytelling style since 1985. Considered the “national interpreter” of the poet laureate Paul Laurence Dunbar’s work, Capel has been featured at venues across the country, including the DuSable Black History Museum, The Kennedy Center, the Smithsonian Folklife Festival, and the Presidential Inauguration of Barack Obama. He has traveled across the world, from the Arctic to the Pacific to the Caribbean, to tell and hear traditional stories. With an engaging manner, Morden humorously and compassionately confronts serious existential questions.     Main Street Jonesborough will host the 11th Annual Brews and Boos in Downtown Jonesborough on Saturday, October 17, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Brews & Boos is set in Jimmy Neil Smith Park, behind the International Storytelling Center. Attendees will enjoy a series of ghost stories featuring world-renowned storytellers Michael Reno Harrell and Jessica Piscitelli Robinson.
