Coming up in ONE MONTH: we’re excited to welcome The Corklickers back to the stage!

The Corklickers are an authentic old time stringband hailing from the East Tennessee-
Western North Carolina region. They have been playing together since the mid-1970’s, preserving the traditional style of the popular stringbands of the 1920’s and 30’s.
Among the influences in their style of music are The Skillet Lickers, Ernest Stoneman, Uncle Dave Macon, The Carter Family, Charlie Bowman, Dudley Vance, Kyle Creed, and Tommy Jarrell.
The music of this award-winning band is renowned throughout the region of Western North Carolina, East
Tennessee and Southwest Virginia where they have performed in many of the popular venues;
such as the Carter Fold, Merlefest and, fiddlers’ conventions throughout the southeast.
Leading the melody for The Corklickers are the fiddles of Gil Adams, Rick Palmer and David Burns. Mark Adams, playing clawhammer-style banjo, and Ben Moore, backing up on guitar, complete the rhythm section of the band. The bottom end of the sound is filled by the doghouse bass fiddle of Rick Moore.
The performances of this hard driving music are always sure to provide a memorable experience for concert goers.
