Paradise Acres Family Farm Park in Boones Creek is hosting a Grand Opening Celebration for
a new 18-Hole Mountain Paradise Mini-Golf Course on Saturday, May 9.
“To provide sheltered activities during summer heat and rainy weather, we built a second
premier Mini-Golf course in our open air Fun Barn,” says Laressa McCarty, owner. The new
Appalachia-themed course features concrete greens, a koi pond waterscape, lots of
fountains, loops, rails, ramps, and a mine shaft skee ball hole.
For the Grand Opening Celebration, guests will enjoy live music, food trucks, free balloons,
raffle prizes, and a grand prize for the player with the best score of the day. Players will also
receive a free ice cream if they get a hole-in-one on video.
The Celebration will be from 11am to 11pm with the last game starting at 10. Both Mini-Golf
courses will be open as well as Laser Tag, Gem Mining, Hayrides, the Ball Cannon, the Gift
Shop, and the Hayground.
“Night-time Glow Golf has been very popular since we started offering it in 2021,” McCarty
says. “Guests play with bright LED-lit colored golf balls. The new course looks enchanting at
night with warm overhead Edison bulb lighting, and we’ve wired colored lights into the
bottoms of the cups. It’s a fun and magical experience.”
“The new course follows the contour of the land. We used rock veins and boulders from here
on the farm on several greens to give the course an authentic feel.”
Each hole has Appalachia-themed decor including antique farm equipment, mountain
flowers, a forest stream, a barnyard, a chapel, a bear cave, a mine shaft, and a railroad
trestle.
“The Mountain Paradise Course is a nice compliment to our Tropical Paradise Course which
features lush floral landscaping, a putt-through waterfall cave, and a fantastic hill-top view of our 24-acre farm,” McCarty says.
The Grand Opening Celebration will be followed by a “Celebrate Mom” Mother’s Day event
the next day on Sunday, May 10 from 1 to 8pm. Mother’s Day packages include a Flower
Bouquet Buffet, Mini-Golf, a family picture, a girly gift, a barbecue picnic lunch, and ice
cream.
“This is a unique and easy way to treat Mom to flowers, food, and outdoor family fun all in
one place,” says McCarty.
Tickets may be purchased with a $5 discount by preregistering for “Celebrate Moms” on the
Paradise Acres website at ParadiseAcres.FUN or for full price at the concessions window on
Mother’s Day.
Paradise Acres is located at 4946 N Roan Street in Johnson City.
