In response to the recent devastation impacting the communities of Western North Carolina and East Tennessee, Mountain Aid has been organized to bring hope, raise funds, and unite the region through a powerful night of music.
The benefit concert will feature an extraordinary lineup of artists, including Steven Curtis Chapman, Point of Grace, Jason Crabb, Sean Dietrich (Sean of the South), Chosen Road, Darin & Brooke Aldridge, Jason Lovins Band, Taranda Greene, and more.
This special event will raise essential funds for Samaritan’s Purse,
a Christian relief organization working to rebuild homes and restore hope for families affected in Appalachia.
All proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to support their efforts in Western NC and East TN .
Point of Grace expressed their gratitude for being part of the event. “The images we have seen are beyond heartbreaking,” said Shelley Breen of Point of Grace. “We will not forget these victims as they try to rebuild their lives. Lending our voices to encourage and hopefully raise funds for them is truly an honor. We are praying even now for a huge turnout of support for these precious souls who have lost so much.”
Jonathan Buckner of Chosen Road, the band that initiated the event, added, “When we heard how many of our friends and neighbors in Western NC and East TN were affected, we knew we had to take action. This benefit concert is not only about raising funds for those whose lives have been forever changed, but also about bringing hope to this region. These mountains and the people who call them home have shaped our music, and we owe so much to them. Our prayer is that through this night of music, we can make an eternal impact in these mountains.”
Jason Lovins of the Jason Lovins Band shared, “I was born and raised in these mountains and the people of Appalachia helped make me who I am. Mountain Aid has already brought so many together, and it’s gonna be special! It’s an honor for Jason Lovins Band to be a part of something that I have a feeling people are gonna talk about for years to come.”
Generous support from Food City and Freedom Hall Civic Center has made this event possible, showcasing their commitment to giving back to the community. Their sponsorship ensures that every dollar raised can go directly to Samaritan’s Purse to help those in need.
