The Town of Jonesborough will host its annual Easter Eggstravaganza on Saturday, March 28th, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Downtown Jonesborough at the International Storytelling Center, Jimmy Neil Smith Park, Jonesborough Central Christian Church, and The Christopher Taylor House.


This year’s event will include photos with the Easter Bunny, face painting, children’s crafts, Touch-a-Truck with the Jonesborough Fire Department, Police Department, Street Department, and Water Department, an inflatable obstacle course, and a Petting Zoo featuring miniature horses, sheep, goats, and rabbits.
The egg hunt will take place in Jimmy Neil Smith Park, where children ages 12 and under can search for over 5,000 candy-filled eggs. To ensure a fun and fair experience for everyone, the egg hunt will be divided into four age groups: 2 and under, 3 to 5, 6 to 8, and 9 to 12.


Egg Hunts take place at:

12:30 p.m.: 9-12 age group

1:00 p.m.: 6-8 age group

1:30 p.m.: 3-5 age group

2:00 p.m.: 2 & under
The Jackson Theatre will have two free movies on March 28 sponsored by Christ Church of Jonesborough:

Prince of Egypt at 3:00 p.m.

The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe at 7:00 p.m.
Visit the McKinney Center inside the Christopher Taylor Cabin for a free Easter craft!

Central Christian Church will have a 40-foot obstacle course (weather permitting), free nachos and cheese, and a free Easter Craft.
