Join us on January 10th, 235 years later, to commemorate the Massacre at Flint Creek. We will hike to the confluence of Rocky Fork and Flint Creek, discussing events leading up to the battle in 1789. At the battlefield, we will read the after-action report of John Sevier (the only first-hand account we have of the event), and fire a volley for the all fallen warriors.
We will meet in the campfire interpretive area. All are welcome but we ask that you dress for the occasion and wear proper clothing and footwear for a 2-mile round-trip hike.
In the event of inclement weather, this program will be canceled.
