Top youth teams from across the country will hit the field this July as Johnson City hosts a major fast pitch softball championship at Winged Deer Park. With new turf fields and upgraded amenities, the park is ready to welcome players, coaches, and fans for a week of high-energy competition and community spirit.
Families are invited to Summer Storytime, a weekly storytime with books and songs for ages 0-5. Summer Storytime is held on Wednesdays and Thursdays at 9:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. The 9:30 a.m. option is held outdoors at the King Commons Natural Adventure Area*, and the 11 a.m. option meets in the Library’s Jones Meeting Center. Each week's indoor and outdoor programs feature the same content, so please choose one to attend. For the 11 a.m. storytime, pick up a ticket at the Children’s Desk when you arrive. *In the event of inclement weather, check our Facebook page after 9 a.m. on Wednesdays and Thursdays for a program update.
