Makers

The city’s own Founders Park is a great place to begin your artistic journey right downtown. The Phil Pindzola Biennial Sculpture Exhibition features a variety of leased artwork, displayed alongside a peaceful walking path around the park. These sculptures add a unique and dynamic element to the city, encouraging you to explore further and pause in admiration with plenty of spots to grab a bite to eat nearby.

Sculptures found here provide a sense of belonging and can be a source of inspiration and reflection for visitors, with an abundance of greenspace to sit and relax. See works like Through Someone Else’s Eyes by Elisha Gold, featuring a 3D head sculpture made of steel.

Art is a pillar in Northeast Tennessee, inviting you to express yourself and explore the deep roots that mend these Appalachian communities together. Treat yourself to an afternoon with the arts by gallery hopping around town, or sign up for a maker’s class for hands-on fun, like pottery painting at Into The Fire.
