Ever wanted to unlock the mystery of fly fishing and learn how to pursue the wild trout of Rocky Fork? Join park rangers for a three- to four-hour workshop designed for absolute beginners.
Participants will learn basic fly-casting techniques, how to select the right fly, and which pieces of fishing gear are necessary and which ones you may not need. Fly rods will be provided, but participants are welcome to bring their own equipment.
Participants who plan to fish must have the appropriate Tennessee fishing license and trout privileges, as required by the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency. A fishing license is not required to attend the workshop or participate in the instructional portions.

What to Bring: Water shoes and clothing suitable for walking or wading in a shallow mountain stream. Participants should also bring water and any personal fishing equipment they would like to use.
