The International Storytelling Center is excited to present a new community concert series with the nationally renowned storyteller Sheila Arnold.
The program — “More than One Story” — has been developed as part of a larger community-building project about the power of listening. The concerts will be offered in a unique format, unfolding at partner locations over the course of a week. The Philosopher’s House show is the first in the series, and seating will be limited.
By staging the show on a variety of days, at different times, and multiple locations, ISC hopes to reach as many people as possible, including those who may be new to the art of storytelling.
Sheila’s show will include a fun and fascinating exploration of local history and its relevance to our lives today. Blending entertainment and education, “More than One Story” shows us how we can carry complex stories into the future to make our communities better.
Tickets for this intimate event can be reserved in advance (suggested donation is on a sliding scale of $10 to $20, with all proceeds helping the Philosopher’s House, a nonprofit, cover costs). A tea service with scones will be included.
**Doors open at 4:30 p.m.**
The series will run locally from Nov. 3 to Nov. 10. Full information about venues open to the public are at https://www.storytellingcenter.net/…/more-than-one…/.
