Join us for Santa’s Christmas Village Saturday, December 14th from 11 am to 3 pm! Stroll throughout Historic Jonesborough, starting at the Jonesborough Visitors Center, located at 117 Boone Street. At the Vistors Center, partake in crafts, children’s activities, Santa Mart, games and more!
The Santa Mart will be where kids can shop for friends and family. These holiday gifts will cost only $1. Free Gift Wrapping by the David Crockett Civinettes for the Santa Mart purchases will be available inside the auditorium of the Visitors Center. Miss State of Franklin 2024 will be on hand to help kids make Gift Tags.
Other activities at the Visitors Center include crafts and popcorn at Frosty’s Top Shop with the Kiwanis of Jonesborough and the Daniel Boone High School Key Club, a Scratch Art Ornament with UT Extension’s 4-H and FCE clubs, a Snowman Craft with the local Garden Club, and taking a photo at the selfie booth.
Activities continue downtown with Free Carriage Rides from Old Town Horse & Carriage. Meet Santa and drop off wishlist letters in Santa’s Mailbox by the Courthouse. Kids will get a reply by Christmas if a return address is included with the letter and the letter is dropped off by December 18th.
Shoppers can stroll along Main Street to holiday music and have their downtown purchases wrapped for free at the International Storytelling Center.
Folks can also shop for Handmade Holiday Gifts from local artisans at the Christmas Marketplace, located on the plaza at the International Storytelling Center. Inside, kids can take advantage of free Face Painting by Judy Butterfly and make a Nutcracker Ornament to take home.
Make S’mores with Scout Troop and Pack 130 at the Christopher Taylor Cabin, which will be open for public viewing, and get a sweet picture inside the Sugar Plum Fairy Cottage, a 12-foot-long wooden cottage decorated with candy and sweets, located on the front lawn.
Enjoy food from Little Delights food truck and a hot drink from Sweet Caroline’s setup Downtown. Attendees can also grab a bite to eat from one of our local restaurants: Main Street Cafe, Opossum’s Tale, Texas Burritos & More, Neuma Coffee, Corner Company Beverage Emporium, and Boone Street Market. The much-anticipated Jonesborough Lighted Christmas Parade will occur that evening starting at 6 p.m. The parade will travel through the festively decorated historic district from Boone Street to Main Street.
