This is a historical event. My first encounter with SAWC was a reading at Down Home circa 1983 that Jim Webb invited me to attend. I wish I had a roll call of who was there because I didn’t know anyone else. However, poet after poet offered lines that I cannot forget. For the first time, I felt I was part of a forward movement of writers who felt the same as I did about the mountains – advocates of the place and its people. We welcome you to listen, share your own work, and be inspired to write for a better world. (Let’s support the amazing venue, Down Home, and Ed Snodderly too!).
