SUMMARY:Storytelling Live: Tim Lowry
DESCRIPTION:Storyteller Tim Lowry replaces the top hat and tails of an old-fashioned showman with a seersucker suit\, mixing personal narratives\, folk tales\, tall tales\, and American history with a distinctively Southern flavor. Lowry’s signature style has earned an Oracle Award from the National Storytelling Network and Artist of the Year from Azalea Magazine. He has produced several award-winning recordings and received top honors from Storytelling World for his book\, Haunted by Dickens. Tim is continually on the road performing at festivals\, schools\, libraries\, and corporate events across the country. \nFrom the time he took to the stage\, Tim Lowry claimed the full attention of his audience. They followed him wherever he was performing. They loved Tim’s style\, his humor\, his material\, and the man himself.  – Connecticut Storytelling Festival

SUMMARY:"Deep Listening" Opening Reception
DESCRIPTION:Join us for the opening reception of our new show “Deep Listening”\, a group exhibition curated by local artist Carla Taylor. It opens July 3 and runs through July 26\, 2026. The exhibition features seven artists from Germany\, Spain\, Mexico\, Brazil\, and the United States whose paths first crossed during the Bonfire Aire Artist Retreat in Iceland in November 2025.\nThrough painting\, drawing\, installation\, digital media\, and mixed-media works\, Deep Listening explores themes of attention\, presence\, memory\, landscape\, and our relationship to the natural world. Inspired by experiences in Iceland’s natural terrain\, shaped by volcanic activity\, glaciers\, shifting weather\, and extended periods of silence\, the works reflect on geological time\, perception\, environmental awareness\, and the transformative power of attentive observation.\nWhile each artist brings a distinct cultural perspective and visual language\, the exhibition is united by a shared commitment to slowing down\, observing deeply\, and listening to both the world around us and the inner landscapes we carry.Participating artists include Paula Fraile (Spain)\, Vero Glezqui (Mexico)\, Bob Landstrom (United States)\, Katharina Langer (Germany)\, Montserrat Serra (Spain)\, Rachel Tanugi (Brazil)\, and Carla Taylor (United States).\nDuring the reception\, artist Bob Landstrom will present a live sound demonstration at 7:00 p.m.Deep Listening is free and open to the public.\nFor additional information\, please contact:Carla Taylorcarlataylorart.comInstagram: @ctaylorart\n\nTypical Hours of Operation\nSaturday and Sunday: 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM\nMonday through Wednesday: 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM\nThursday and Friday:11:00 AM – 4:00 PM

SUMMARY:DR ENUF presents Parker Collins and Skylar Grandy
DESCRIPTION:Parker Collins Bio At just 18 years old\, Parker Collins has already built an impressive résumé that reflects a lifetime devoted to music. Originally from Bristol\, Virginia\, and now calling Sevierville\, Tennessee home\, Parker has become one of the most promising young musicians in bluegrass and country music. Parker’s journey began at an early age\, performing regularly at Dollywood beginning when he was just 8 years old. His natural talent and stage presence quickly earned him opportunities to perform throughout East Tennessee\, including a three-year run as a youth performer at the renowned Country Tonite Theatre starting at age 10. By age 15\, Parker was touring alongside the legendary country music group Diamond Rio\, gaining invaluable experience on stages across the country. His musicianship and professionalism have also led to performances with Vince Gill at the world-famous Grand Ole Opry\, one of country music’s most respected institutions. Today\, Parker continues to make his mark as a member of the Grammy-nominated bluegrass band Monroeville. Known for his dedication to preserving traditional sounds while bringing youthful energy to every performance\, Parker has earned the respect of audiences and fellow musicians alike. With roots firmly planted in the rich musical heritage of Appalachia and experience that far exceeds his years\, Parker Collins represents the next generation of bluegrass and country music\, carrying forward the traditions he loves while forging his own path in the industry.\nSkylar Gandy is an accomplished fiddle player and vocalist from Valdosta Georgia whose passion for traditional and contemporary music has made him a standout performer throughout the Southeast. He has has performed extensively at festivals\, theaters\, churches\, radio programs\, and concert venues across Georgia\, Florida\, and Alabama\, Tennessee\, and Kentucky earning a loyal following throughout the region. Skylar won GA state fiddle championship at 11 years old in 2008 and was inducted into the GA Country Music Hall Of Fame in 2022.
